Meiji Kinenkan (also known as Constitution Memorial Hall) was built in 1881 as a dining and reception hall used for receiving important guests from abroad to the Akasaka Temporary Palace. It also served as the site of deliberations by the Imperial Council concerning the drafting of the Meiji Constitution. Since being relocated and rebuilt as the Meiji Kinenkan in 1947, the facility has carried forth its storied tradition of unparalleled service and attention to detail, hosting countless gatherings that have created wonderful memories for its guests.
Meiji Kinenkan’s banquet rooms are designed to accommodate a broad range of gatherings, from small, intimate groups to major international galas. And regardless of the scale of the event, our guests receive the same high level of service and attention.
Whether it’s an important dinner with guests from abroad, or a more intimate, casual meal with family or friends, Meiji Kinenkan has the ideal setting—and style of cuisine—to ensure that you and your guests and companions remember the wonderful time they had.
As the wedding venue for Meiji Jingu Shrine, Meiji Kinenkan crafts and conducts ceremonies and receptions brimming with dignity and grandeur commensurate with the eternal joining of people and families.
